Sonia’s story
Sonia worked two years as a research assistant in a memory lab, running the exact spaced-practice experiments she now smuggles into every tutoring session. She started tutoring when she noticed her AP Psych students were memorizing the studies about memory using the worst possible memorization techniques — an irony she found unbearable. Her students learn the content and the learning science at the same time, and their other classes tend to improve as a side effect.
