A note from Chloe

The SAT rewards calm, not cramming.

I teach students to recognize the handful of patterns the test reuses, to spend their time where the points are, and to stop panicking on the clock. Most of my students aren't 'bad at the SAT' — they've just never been shown the rules of the game.

Chloe’s story

Chloe grew up on the Maine coast, where she captained her high school volleyball team to a state championship before a wrist injury senior year pushed her energy into a different kind of competition: cracking the SAT. She scored a 1580, then spent a summer coaching her younger brother from a 1190 to a 1450 — and realized the test isn't an intelligence measure, it's a beatable game of patterns and timing. She's been teaching that ever since.

Chloe got me from a 1290 to a 1490 in six weeks. She found exactly which question types were costing me and drilled only those. I stopped running out of time on Reading.

My daughter dreaded the SAT. Chloe made it feel manageable — she's encouraging but she does not let you off the hook. 200-point jump.

The pattern stuff is real. Once she showed me how the 'hardest' questions are predictable, my math score jumped 90 points.
